Terms of Service

1. Who can use TapWizz

You must be at least 18, live in the United States, and be able to enter into a binding agreement. These terms are an agreement between you and TapWizz LLC (“TapWizz,” “we,” “us”), a Washington limited liability company based in King County, Washington.

2. The beta

The TapWizz app is pre-release software offered to invited testers through Apple’s TestFlight. Features may change, stop working, or be removed, and the service may be interrupted or end. Joining the waitlist doesn’t guarantee an invite. The beta is free; if we introduce paid features later, we’ll tell you first and you won’t be charged without agreeing. Apple’s TestFlight terms also apply to your use of beta builds.

3. Information, not financial advice

TapWizz helps you choose which of your cards to use based on published reward rules and the information you give us. TapWizz is not a bank, lender, card issuer, credit counselor, or financial, tax or legal advisor, and nothing in the service is financial advice.

Card issuers change rewards, categories, caps and terms, often quarterly, and a merchant’s category may be coded differently than expected. Our recommendations and estimates may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong, and we don’t guarantee any rewards, points or savings. You are responsible for your purchases, payments, fees, interest, and decisions about applying for or using any card. Always check your card issuer’s terms.

4. Your account

Give us accurate information, keep your sign-in details secure, and let us know at contact@tapwizz.com if you think your account has been accessed without your permission. You’re responsible for activity on your account. One account per person.

5. Your information

You own the information you add, such as your cards, balances and goals. You give us permission to store and use it to run and improve TapWizz, as described in our Privacy Policy. Don’t enter card numbers, security codes, PINs or account passwords anywhere in TapWizz.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t misuse TapWizz. In particular, don’t:

• break the law or use TapWizz for fraud;
• copy, reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the service or its data;
• try to access other people’s accounts or data, or get around security or rate limits;
• interfere with or overload the service;
• share beta builds outside TestFlight or publish confidential beta features without our permission.

7. Feedback

We love feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

8. Third parties and card offers

TapWizz relies on services such as Apple and may link to card issuers and other sites. We’re not responsible for their content, products or terms. TapWizz may show offers for cards you don’t have and may earn a commission if you apply; this never changes which card in your wallet we recommend.

9. Our property

TapWizz, its app, website, design, content and logos belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable right to use TapWizz under these terms. Card names and brands belong to their owners.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using TapWizz at any time and ask us to delete your account at contact@tapwizz.com. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, to protect TapWizz or others, or when the beta ends.

11. Disclaimers

TAPWIZZ IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” ESPECIALLY DURING THE BETA. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND WE DON’T PROMISE THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, TAPWIZZ WON’T BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REWARDS, POINTS, SAVINGS OR DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATED TO TAPWIZZ IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PREVIOUS 12 MONTHS OR US$50. Some states don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

13. Indemnity

If you misuse TapWizz or break these terms and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, to the extent the law allows.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top, and if a change is significant, we’ll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use TapWizz after that means you accept the updated terms.
